i could totally do this
March 18, 2010
Rick S. spends his days at a large software conglomerate in the valley.
Some days I wish I worked there with him.
[16:13] Dick: Hey
[16:13] dug: Dick
[16:14] dick: So I’m watching a guy at work trying to eat 6 boxes of girl scout cookies in 30 min. $1,200 on the line
[16:14] dick: it’s an ugly site
[16:14] dug: six BOXES
[16:14] dug: woah
[16:14] dug: is he the same eating champion from the other eating challenges?
[16:14] dick: 3 thin mints and 3 samoa
[16:14] dick: no
[16:14] dug: $1200
[16:14] dick: different guy
[16:14] dick: skinny kid
[16:14] dug: i think i would do that
[16:14] dick: come on down
[16:15] dick: money is on the table
[16:15] dick: it’s yours
[16:15] dug: you wouldn’t do that for $1200?
[16:15] dick: no
[16:15] dick: it’s not possible
[16:15] dick: he is about to puke and he is only 3 boxes in
[16:15] dug: does puking void the deal?
[16:15] dick: yeah
[16:15] dick: gotta keep it all in
[16:15] dug: how long does he have to keep them down?
[16:15] dick: no limit but he has to do it in 30 min
[16:15] dug: do you have money in the game?
[16:16] dick: he can puke after that
[16:16] dick: no
[16:16] dick: a slow day at work
I’m telling you, I could totally do this.

He just pulled the plug.
Finger in throat.
Cookies on the way out.
3.5 boxes.
Smells good.

Bring your money to RAWROD, folks.

I had a front row seat for the hamburger eating/milk chugging competition. Easily the highlight of my time at the OMTR.

Thanks for the play-by-play. And the outcome, Rick. You got your own kind of March madness over there.
This eating challenge seems easier than the previous one*, but evidently not.
* Eat two 10-patty burgers and drink a gallon of milk in less than 1 hour. The milk alone is near impossible, most stomachs can’t handle that much. The video was priceless, in a disgusting way:

mike: o.k.
boss: hey mike…
mike: dang it boss, i’m busy changing this tire on this

I gave this some thought:
6 boxes. I think that is out of my realm.
4 boxes of thin mints? I think I’d have $1200
dollars.
Those girl scouts don’t want to raise their prices. So, every year, the price is the same and their are fewer cookies.
I can drop a box of thin mints (frozen) in less than 2 minutes.
7.5 minutes per box for 4 boxes? That sounds like lunch.
Somoa? Sounds like someone has to eat someone else who lives in the pacific islands. No way.
In another 5 years 6 boxes will be 6 cookies.
Also, in a non-sequitur, I love thin mint cookes and I love Dairy Queen blizzards. As a result, Dairy Queen Thin Mint Blizzards should be the bomb. They’re not. They suck. I’ve saved you. You can mail a box of cookies to my house in thanks.

Nice to see that the frolicking continues at Omnidobe.

Won’t get the puking at the end – but this one’s a good money maker. 1 KFC biscuit within one minute – no squishing/smashing the biscuit and nothing to drink during the minute.
March 19, 2010 at 12:49 pm
three saltine crackers (no liquid) and whistle within one minute.
that’s worth 2 dollars of anybody’s money!

my money is on Dug!! Thin mints and Samoa’s are my favorites anyway.
March 19, 2010 at 1:40 pm
How sad is it that I actually have multiple boxes of both thin mints and samoas in my pantry right now. But, no desire to try for the cash… At least not right now…

Dug- Come on down and spend an hour with us. I could get the guys together and raise a healthy sum if you are up for the challenge. $1,200 is a lot of money in bike parts.

I’m not the eater I once was, but six is a lot. And I don’t like Samoas. I think I could do three, if they weren’t all the same. Like, say two thin-mints and one of the peanut-butter kind.
