1.lessee, if this were a fixie in a gym, i would turn around and ride the reverse wheelie from in front of the forks, facing rearwards about now…
2. damn, these black socks climb like crazy! I think with knee socks I’d be up & over.

OK, so other guy named mark who doesn’t capitalize his first name, I just want to say that I like your work. I mean, your comments are what I would say if I were witty and funny. It’s as if I outsourced commenting on dug’s blog and didn’t have to worry about it anymore, but the firm I outsourced it to actually does a better job than I could do. Perhaps you could also start linking to my blog in your comments, then I can just read what you said, and pretend it was me. Wait, that first photo is you at 24 hrs of moab?
it’s not elden? I thought for sure it was elden just because it was a crash sequence. Which was going to lead me to say that the point of this post was not to get us to write funny captions. That was just a smokescreen. The real point was to demonstrate the wide gaping chasm between elden’s bike handling skills and dug’s.
But I guess if both photos are of you, then I got nothin’.

For pic #1, all of the following immediately came to mind:
1) Uh-oh, Spaghettios (an oldie, but goodie)
2) Oh yeah, that’s gonna leave a mark.
3) Hmmm…did I put my dentist on speed-dial?
4) I shaved my legs for THIS?
I look at pic #2 and all that comes to mind is a crescendo of the Chariots of Fire theme. Or, maybe, “gravity, schmavity”.

pic 1: inaugural 24 hours of moab (’95–nice one jon), i actually broke the crown on my bridgestone mb1 fork on this fall, but i didn’t notice, and it didn’t sheer completely off until my night lap. during which it did, in fact, sheer off.
“i’m good, i got this.”
pic 2: fall moab (gooseberry mesa edition, circa 2006).
i can’t do better than jon’s caption. although, in this instance the chain did not snap, and i cleaned the move. just sayin.
